1 Plan and prepare to slate a roof.

• 1.1Read and interpret work instructions and plan sequence of work.

5 Replace slates.

• 5.1Remove damaged slate avoiding damage to surrounding slates.
• 5.2Prepare and fix replacement slate to match surrounds.

6 Clean up.

• 6.1Clear roof and guttering, and remove waste and surplus material
• 6.2Clear work area and dispose of, reuse or recycle materials in accordance with legislation, regulations, codes of practice and job specification.
• 6.3Clean, check, maintain and store plant, tools and equipment in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications.
